These days, there is a general demand for instantaneous results in all aspects of life. Orthodontics is no different.
While in some very exceptional cases it is possible to treat all aspects of malocclusion in six months or less, it is more usual that treatment of that short duration would necessitate accepting compromises. Similarly, there is no accepted scientific evidence that orthodontic wires of any sort can grow bone.
Unfortunately, despite what everyone would like and what may be promoted elsewhere, quality treatment takes time. The devil is in the detail.
